I'm so happy to share this little preview of the {W} family from Nampa, ID. Since I don't know which photos Mrs W will choose to put on their Christmas Cards this year, I'm only posting a few pictures so as not to spoil the suprise for her family and friends! :-)
These little kiddos were real troopers, cause 'baby its COLD outside!' They are the cuttest little family - I'm so glad I got to photograph them. Lucky me!

Formal is the new Grunge {Highschool Homecoming Pictures}

Casual, and sometimes grungy, is the new trendy craze. But I love how these two *yay-hooties* got all dressed up for this photo session. They look classy, glamorous, and sizzlin' hot! Don't you think? They are all ready to go to the high school homecoming dance. Oh yeah! This session shows formal dance pictures taken to the next level. THANK YOU for letting me be part of your special and elegant evening.
My dance pictures were taken on my front porch before leaving the house, or those cheesy ones offered at the dance surrounded by bright colored balloons and gossamer. Can you say "tacky!"? I'm SOOO jealous of these two for truly savoring the memory of their formal dance with some professional portraits.

P.S. 'Yay-hooties' is a nickname from my dad. All kids between middle school and high school fall into the 'yay-hootie' category. I love that nickname, and it suits these teens perfectly. :-) Thanks Dad for the super fun vocabulary!

Tweens! {Boise Idaho Children's Photographer} Flashback Friday

These tweens are so photogenic! I love each of their individual poses and 'piggy-back' pose at the bottom of this post. These poses are realy classic for the tween (pre-teen) age group. They are old enough to take instruction, yet young enough to get good (non-'cheese') expressions.

The photo session took place in a beautiful garden/park in St. George. I had a cousin actually get married in this garden a few months prior and I fell in love with it! Benches, an archway, grass, desert landscape...it was so versatile.

Photo Delivery {Family Reunion Photography}

I had the pleasure of photographing the Adamson Family at the Shelton Wedding Chapel. Oh what a fun bunch they were! After the traditional photo (as seen on the disc below), I photographed them near a waterfall and pond , in the pond, on a nearby swingset, and lastly inside the wedding chapel. Everyone was all laughs and smiles. Thanks for allowing me to be part of your family reunion!

I love presenting clients with a custom designed photo disc like this one shown below. Here is the disc from the Jim and Betty Ford photo session. Just over 40 wall-worthy images are on this custom client disc. I'm excited to see which portraits go up in the living room and which portraits get hung throughout the rest of their home.

I had the pleasure of traveling to Zion Canyon in Southern Utah to do this session. I absolutely love the scenery and can't wait to get back. The lighting was so wonderful too - a photographer's dream spot!

These beautiful portraits set in the outskirts of Zion Canyon are sweet enough to be engagement photos. Lo and behold....they have been married for 42 years! Introducing my wonderful parents Jim and Betty Ford. It was such a pleasure to work with them on a professional level. They knelt, leaned, turned, and tilted on command. What great clients they turned out to be.

I really like the aged and faded photos here in the begining of the post.

Which is your favorite photo?

People always tell me I look exactly like my mom. I'm so honored to look like her! Oh, and I'm thrilled that my adorable son inherited my dad's blue eyes :-)

{Baby Landon} Boise Newborn Photographer

Baby Landon's newborn session was so sweet. This precious little bundle of joy was not even two weeks 'young' when we did these photos. His parents love baseball and softball, so we had lots of fun with the baseball glove poses. To be honest, its hard to pick a favorite because they are all so darling!
Out of 87 finished pictures, it was hard narrow it down to 15 for this post :-)

If you are pregnant - schedule your newborn session in advance! Babies come on their own time table, but to ensure my availability, the sooner you schedule the better.

His little toes are so cute poking out the side of the basket. Like little berries for the pickin'. hehe

This hat was hand made by the baby's great-aunt.

Baby Landon's parents held him so gently. They are absolutely smitten with him. <3

Classy Wedding Photos - Boise Wedding Photographer

Look at this lovely Wyoming Bride and handsome Idaho Groom. They are so in love and perfect for eachother! The bride and groom were sneaking a kiss at every chance they could, it was darling. Oh, the photo of the bride picking up the groom is awesome.
Their wedding colors are "peacock" colors - deep torquise, blue, and purple. The feathers in her boquet are fabulous!

We had a ball at the Billings, Montana Latter-Day-Saint Temple. I felt so lucky to be to be at this temple! The colors were magnificent too - cloudless blue sky, deep green grass, pure white temple.

I wanted to post every picture (over 150) - but like always I had to narrow it down to these few. So enjoy the little preview and I will be posting my next photo session soon.

Our newest addition! - Newborn Photographer - Boise Idaho Photographer

This sweet newborn photo session was so fun. He posed so well for us and even opened his eyes. Newborn sessions are one of my favorites of all. Actually whatever session I'm doing is my favorite! But I especially love newborns because they are just so precious, new, sweet, delicate....there are so many words that I could use. I will capture them just as they are - darling in every way.
I had such a wonderful time with Baby {J} and his parents during this session. They were absolutely delightful. These were done in the comfort of their own home. I actually prefer to come to your home within the first week of the baby's life here on earth for my newborn sessions. Since we usually don't know when these little munchkins will arrive, I'm flexible when it comes to scheduling these sessions.

Beauty Queen Bride - Boise & Kuna Idaho Photographer

The new Mrs {I} is so beautiful! What a lucky photographer I was to take her bridal pictures. This was my fifth or sixth photo session for Mrs {I}. I've done her family pictures several times - and her children on many occasions and mile stones.
Well, back to the bridal session.... Doesn't she have the coolest hair ever? And eyes? And lips? And skin? And smile? And dress? And body to put in the dress? And, and, and, etc, etc, etc. She was so sweet during the session too! She is always so fun and sweet. My favorite pictures of this session are the ones of both the bride and groom. They were having such a great time--laughing, posing, kissing, and even primping in the mirror! The spark between them was so bright I could see it (and hear, and smell, and taste it too....well not really, but almost!)

She chose an inspiring location in Southern Utah for the session- a true mansion! I'd love to
take all photo sessions there. :-) Acres and acres of beauty, landscape, architecture, and design.

Sweet little Nixin was only a week old in these pictures. She was so fun to photograph. Sleepy and flexiable - the perfect newborn. Thanks Rikki for letting me capture the "newness" of your newest addition. It was hard to just pick these 8 - because there were OVER 50 amazing ones to choose from.

I capture lots of different pictures - not just the same pose from 5 different angles. I like to give my clients TONS of variety.

My favorites are the ones where mommy is holding her, daddy is holding her, or both!

Six year old pictures - what a great poser was she! Tori is so smart...especially when it comes to words and phrases. She's really good at puns and making people laugh. There's a feeling, a spirit, a joy about Pinto

...and especially about the Pinto House.

This year at Pinto was especially fun. We had probably 99% of the family attend. I think only those who are on missions or living out of the continental US were absent. What a fun time we had! I had my camera for only a portion of the weekend (Sunday afternoon and Monday). I wish I had it the whole time, there are so many fun events and memories that I want to capture!
